No, our celebration isn't our independence day. It's just the day where patriots and other chilean born people, sons of spanish ones, signed the "we want to be a country independent of spain" letter. Chilean independence is in february, but nobody cares about that LOL.

So, happy sept. 18th for all!! I will eat like a pig today XP. That's what we do, eat bbq, empanadas and drink a lot, mainly "chicha" and "pipeño" (weird varieties of unfiltered grape wine).  we dance foreign ritms like reggaeton and cumbia instead of our traditional dance that's the "cueca" (so boring, full of rules and complex that nobody knows how to dance it well).

and i should be sleeping, tomorrow i need to wake up early...
